Wayne will be showing his collaborative sculptures this year for the first time at the Scottsdale Art Festival in March. He has been collaborating with Santa Cruz glass artist, Chris Johnson to create larger scale sculptures. Here are a few shots of their individual work and then some of what they have done together so far.
Here is a sample of Chris Johnson's glass. They will be using similar patterns on some of their collaborative pieces.
Another example of Chris's beautiful palette and patterns.
Talk about texture.....I hope they do some of this action!
Now add a little Wayne's World........and who knows!
Stranger and stranger!.....
You just never know what's going to come out of that Wayne's imagination!
Here is a start. This guy stands about 20" tall.
This little owl is mounted on a rock and has awesome metal feet. He's handsome, quiet and doesn't eat much.
They created this wonderful piece last year and it has a home with one of our dearest collectors.
I will do updates as the time gets closer to the show. Right now everything is in progress.
Sunset from our friend Patty's new home south of Tubac, Arizona. We were privileged to be guests at her place while we did the Tubac Art show.
Our stay in Tucson to shop the gem show, visit friends and spend time with the folks at the "Casitas at Smokey Spring Ranch" was short but sweet. This year was a quick trip because Wayne needs to get home as soon as possible to work on his new sculptures with Chris Johnson. They will be showing at the Scottsdale Museum show in March. Here is a photo of Wayne at "Smokey Springs" bonding with their new resident who wandered onto the property a few months back.
Frosted Aqua lampwork glass with pewter charm.
Small pewter charms with petroglyph type figures and antique finish Cz glass.
This annual show is held in Arizona's historic town of Tubac where you might find a sheriff on horseback or a team of horses pulling a wagon full of mid-westerners wearing shorts and flip-flops in the middle of winter. The town is full of wonderful art, food and entertainment for this great event. Stop by and see us if you are in the area. We are usually set up out front of the town Deli. Hope to see you there!

Come out to the Palm Springs area and visit us at the annual Southwest Art Festival held on the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, Calif. We will be showing our new work and sharing the spotlight with over 250 nationally known artists. This is a beautiful show sprinkled with palm trees and, more often than not, blue skies.
We are booth #127. Hope you can stop by!
